Doctor Peter Entwistle, came to us when he decided to run as an independent MLA in the British Columbia Provincial Election. We were excited because this was an unusual project for us and we knew a digital presence and strategy was important for his campaign. Over a couple of days we talked at length with Dr. Entwistle and found he is passionate about healthcare reform and wants to change the way we treat illness.
We knew the website we were hired to build had to display his platform and sway the voters in his riding. Since Dr. Entwistle declared his candidacy late, we didn’t have much time to get his website up and running.
The website had to be a place voters could come for updates, and to communicate with the community. To do so, we featured social media integration to help seamlessly get the word out.
The website launched Dr. Entwistle’s campaign and got him media attention in the Penticton Herald, Oliver Daily News, and the Osoyoos Times.
Although Dr. Entwistle didn’t get elected, he came in third with 14% of the vote and 3,028 votes which was outstanding for someone without any political clout and no experience. Dr. Entwistle was extremely happy with our work and how we helped him raise awareness for healthcare reform.
